Frequently Asked Questions
1. How far in advance should we book our wedding photographer?
The sooner, the better! Especially if you’re getting married during peak season (spring or fall in New Mexico). Most couples book their wedding photography 9-12 months in advance to ensure they secure their dream date. That said, if your wedding is sooner, don’t hesitate to reach out! If I’m available, I’d be honored to capture your day.
2. Where are you based, and do you travel for sessions or weddings?
I’m based in beautiful Albuquerque, New Mexico, but I love to travel. Whether you’re planning a wedding in Santa Fe, or a sunset family session in White Sands, or a destination wedding out of state, I’m happy to come to you. Travel within the Southwest is included in all wedding collections. No hidden fees!
3. How would you describe your photography style?
My work is emotive, timeless, and real. I’m not here to stage stiff poses. I’m here to capture the way your partner looks at you when you laugh, or the wild joy of your kids running through a field. It’s storytelling photography rooted in feeling, color, and connection.
4. What’s included in your wedding photography packages?
Every collection includes a minimum of 6 hours of coverage, fully edited high-resolution images, a personal online gallery, and a print release. Add-ons like second shooters, albums, or bridal portraits are available too. You’ll find all the details on my Investment page, and I am always happy to chat through what’s right for your day.
5. Do you offer family, maternity, or couple sessions too?
Absolutely! I offer family, maternity, anniversary, and couple photography across the Albuquerque area and beyond. Whether you’re marking a milestone or just want to remember this chapter. I’m here to help you hold onto it.
6. What should we wear to our photo session?
Wear something that makes you feel comfortable, confident, and true to yourself. Neutral tones, warm earthy colors, and soft textures photograph beautifully! Especially against the New Mexico landscape. I’ll send over a full style guide with tips, outfit inspiration, and what to avoid so you feel ready.
7. How do we book you?
Just head over to my Contact page and fill out the quick form with your details. From there, I’ll reach out to schedule a quick call so we can get to know each other and see if we’re the right fit. Once you’re ready, I’ll send a proposal through HoneyBook - you’ll just sign the contract and pay the retainer to lock in your date!
8. When will we get our photos back?
For weddings galleries are delivered within 6-8 weeks, and for session, it’s usually 2-3 weeks. You’ll receive a beautiful online gallery where you can view, download, and share your photos. Plus access to my professional print shop if you want to bring them to life.
9. Do you help with posing? We’re kind of awkward….
You’re not alone! Almost everyone tells me that. My job is to guide you gently into natural movement, real connection, and relaxed prompts that make you forget the camera’s even there. You don’t need to know what to do, that’s what I’m here for.
10. What happens if the weather is bad on our session day?
If the skies open up or wind gets wild, don’t stress. I always build in flexibility to reschedule if needed. That said, sometimes the most magical moments come from embracing the storm. Overcast skies? Chef’s kiss. New Mexico monsoon glow? Unreal.
